At Zoe Therapy Services, we know that harmonious interplay between mind, body, spirit and community is important to full, abundant living. We offer the tools, resources and support to facilitate optimal wellness.
Simply put, it is a three step brain training process. One practitioner described it as "clean the brain, calm the brain, then optimize the brain."
Our brains are composed of over a billion neurons (brain cells). Our brains perform tasks by forming pathways and communicating with electrical signals, or brain waves. Brainwaves occur at various frequencies. When these brainwaves are not functioning optimally, people struggle with a wide range of symptoms, such as migraine, poor impulse control, emotional dysregulation, poor sleep, impaired concentration, poor memory or difficulty learning. Neurofeedback helps a person retrain these brainwaves to optimize their functioning.
Neurofeedback encourages specific areas of the brain to speed up or slow down as needed, essentially stabilizing brain activity. Neurofeedback training encourages flexible and adaptive brain wave communication that results in the experience of moving more smoothly from one state of arousal to another. Eventually, no more training is required to maintain these improvements!
Neurofeedback is utilized to treat ADHD, alcoholism, addiction, anxiety, depression, insomnia, headaches, cognitive decline in the elderly, autism, trauma, traumatic brain injury and more. Athletes and scholars use it to improve memory, concentration and peak performance.
We like to compare it to braces on the teeth. It is an alternative to medication and an investment of time and money but the results are more permanent and long lasting.

CBD or cannabidiol, is the non-psychoactive component found in the cannabis plant. CBD has been gaining traction, taking on a number of forms including oils, tinctures, gummies, dog treats, etc. CBD can be ingested, smoked, or applied topically to holistically treat a wide variety of conditions but is most commonly cited for its anti-inflammatory properties, pain relief, mood stabilization, and for promoting better sleep. All of these benefits enhance our physical and mental capacity for dealing with the conditions that we may experience.
In the context of massage, CBD is applied topically to the skin in the form of an oil or salve. The skin is the body's largest organ and it has a great capacity to absorb the holistic benefits of this compound. The anti-inflammatory and pain relieving agents of CBD reduce irritation within muscles and joints, allowing the massage therapist to work more effectively into the tissues.
CBD will be offered as an add-on to any massage service. Pricing for CBD services is as follows:
Shoulders & Neck only: $5
Full body: $15

Mental Performance Enhancement
Mr. Dunning is passionate about helping people achieve their optimum productivity and performance. He has significant personal experience with the stresses (both positive and negative) of the workplace as well as with athletic endeavors. His 25+ years in the highly competitive investment banking industry provided an abundance of opportunities to explore various stress management techniques and productivity enhancers. Early on, he determined that hypnosis was the most effective modality for him, incorporating it into his life almost 30 years ago. Athletic competition has been a major part of his life from the time he first crossed home plate. He is very familiar with the unique stress experienced by athletes, having studied it and experienced it himself for many years, in a variety of sports, including at the collegiate level. He believes that mental strength and conditioning is just as important as the physical version.
Eventually he came to the realization that the primary focus of performance should not be competing against others but rather to fully develop one’s capabilities and talents to the highest level possible for them, whether in the business world, an athletic venue or on the stage and screen. He believes one of the most satisfying achievements is breaking through self-imposed mental barriers.
Mr. Dunning is a certified hypnotist with Advanced Certification and holds a specialty certification in Sports Performance Hypnosis and advanced training in Golf Performance Hypnosis. He was trained in hypnosis by the American School of Hypnosis and the Spenser Institute, and certified through the National Guild of Hypnotists, the American International Association of Hypnosis and The National Exercise & Sports Trainer Association. He is also a certified Neuro Linguistic Programming and TimeLine Coaching practitioner. In addition to sports specific, corporate stress reduction and performing arts assistance, he offers general hypnosis services for a variety of challenges, such as, General Anxiety, Phobias, Test Apprehension, Excess Fat Loss and Negative Habits Cessation. Mr. Dunning is a graduate of the University of Memphis.
There are a multitude of ways an individual can use the mental training techniques, such as hypnosis and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), I employ to improve various aspects of their life. I once saw a list of 150 areas of focus that could be addressed with hypnosis alone. However, I prefer to use a more concise list, which should give you a general understanding of the categories I address.
